Premier League confirms revised August and September fixture times
The league has published updated UK broadcast selections for Matchweeks 2 to 5, reshaping several kick-off times from late August through September.
The Premier League has confirmed a revised set of kick-off times for matches in Matchweeks 2, 3, 4 and 5, giving supporters a clearer view of the late-August and September calendar.
What has changed
The league’s 7 July announcement covers UK live-TV selections and lists the amended schedule through Sunday 20 September. Unless a different time is shown, matches remain scheduled for 15:00 BST.
The first changes arrive on Friday 28 August, when Crystal Palace host Manchester City at 20:00. The following day includes a 12:30 start for Liverpool against Nottingham Forest and a 17:30 meeting between Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United. On Monday 31 August, Aston Villa and Arsenal are scheduled for a 20:00 kick-off.
A busy September run
The update also sets out broadcast times across the September international calendar. Ipswich Town v Liverpool is listed for 20:00 on Friday 4 September, while Newcastle United v Bournemouth starts at 12:30 the next day. Arsenal v Chelsea is scheduled for 16:30 on Sunday 6 September.
Further changes include Manchester United v Manchester City at 16:30 on Sunday 13 September and Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa at 12:30 on Saturday 19 September. The month’s published list closes with Bournemouth v Liverpool at 14:00 and Fulham v Manchester United at 16:30 on Sunday 20 September.
Why the list matters
These selections turn a provisional fixture calendar into a more practical planning tool for supporters, broadcasters and clubs. The league notes that some matches can still move if domestic or European competition creates a scheduling conflict: Leeds United v Newcastle United and Brentford v Chelsea both carry conditional notes in the official release.
The full list remains the reference point for any later amendments. Supporters should check the league’s fixture pages before travelling, particularly where a match is marked as subject to a further change.
